Can I just begin by saying a real heartfelt 'thank you' for all the work you've put in on making the Arklow records available on line.

I'm researching the Costello family who lived in Arklow in 1901. John Costello appears in the 1901 census at Ballyduff South as a soldier, aged 73. There are no Costellos there though in the Griffiths valuation even though John was born in 1828. I have the birth and marriage records of his son, also John Costello, but don't have anything for John snr. Would you have anything?

I also understand that he worked on an estate and after many years searching have recently discovered that this might have been Emmaville - do you know anything of this estate?

Finally, the family were led to believe that the son, John Costello, born in 1874 in Arklow parish, went back to Arklow to die in around 1907/8. Would you have anything on that?
